Premium D-2 is Bell Fuels’ proprietary product engineered to heighten fuel performance in diesel fuels, including biodiesel.
Premium D-2 is a “finished” diesel fuel. It is the most comprehensive way for a customer to control the quality of his fuel year-round.
By using Premium D-2, Bells’ product will extend the life of your engine’s fuel injectors and fuel pumps.

Cetane Improver: Typical cetane number 45, providing faster cold weather starting and more complete combustion.
CFPP: Cold Filter Plugging Point: Defined as the lowest temperature at which diesel fuel will pass through a fine screen. Premium D-2 drops that temperature by a minimum of 20oF and Bell has over 1000 verified test samples proving our success rate.
Detergent: Low emission engines operate with higher injector pressure. The detergents needed to wash varnish and carbon combustion cause:
- Reduced fuel efficiency by 3 to 5%
- More smoke
- Loss of power
Lubricity Improver: The natural lubricating properties of sulfur were lost with strict EPA standards for low and ultra low sulfur fuel. Premium D-2 boosts lubricity to help extend the life of your engine components beyond that of other “Premium” diesel fuels.

De-Icer Agent: This added protection along with proper maintenance, ensures that engines will operate during extreme cold temperatures. The vast majority of diesel equipment having cold weather problems, experience filter icing that shuts down the unit. During extreme cold weather we recommend the following:
- Bleed water from saddle tanks weekly
- Drain water/fuel separators daily
- Monitor storage tank bottoms for the presence of water
Corrosion Inhibitor: Provides a high grade inhibitor to protect fuel storage tanks and vehicle tanks against the corrosive action of distillates.
Fuel Stabilizer: Long term fuel storage is a reality when operating emergency generators. Premium D-2 provides fuel stability in excess of 24 months.
